POPIA privacy notice
How JET Industries handles your personal information.
Effective date: 8 September 2026
1. Who is responsible for your information?
JET Industries (Pty) Ltd, of 42 Antoinette Street, De Tijger, Cape Town, South Africa, is the responsible party for personal information collected through this website.
The Information Officer is Ethan Edward Warrin. Privacy enquiries may be sent to info@jetindustries.co.za or made by phone or WhatsApp at 063 708 1898.
2. Information we collect
When you submit an enquiry, we may collect your name, organisation, email address, phone number, project requirements, selected products, budget, preferred contact method and other information you choose to provide.
3. Why we use it
We use this information to assess and respond to enquiries, prepare quotations, communicate about requested services, deliver agreed work, maintain business records, prevent misuse and meet legal obligations. Providing required form information is voluntary, but we cannot respond properly without it.
4. Lawful processing
We process information with your knowledge and, where required, consent; to take steps at your request before entering into a contract; to perform a contract; to comply with law; and for legitimate business purposes that do not unjustifiably infringe your privacy.
5. Sharing and service providers
We do not sell personal information. Information may be handled by authorised JET personnel and trusted service providers used to operate the website, including Google Firebase for authentication, database hosting, file storage and website infrastructure. We may also disclose information when legally required or when necessary to establish or protect legal rights.
Some technology providers may process or store information outside South Africa. Where this occurs, we use providers and safeguards intended to provide an appropriate level of protection.
6. Retention and security
Enquiry information is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, ordinarily up to 24 months after the last meaningful interaction, unless a longer period is required for an active customer relationship, contractual records, tax, accounting, dispute or other legal requirements.
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including authenticated administration and restricted database and file permissions. No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.
7. Your rights
Subject to POPIA, you may ask whether we hold your information, request access, request correction or deletion, object to certain processing, withdraw consent where consent is relied upon, and complain about our handling of your information. Contact us using the details above. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
8. Direct marketing, children and automated decisions
JET Industries does not currently send promotional email or WhatsApp marketing. Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing. We do not knowingly use these forms to collect information from children without appropriate authorisation, and we do not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects based solely on automated processing.
9. Complaints and updates
Please contact JET Industries first so we can try to resolve a privacy concern. You may also lodge a complaint with South Africa’s Information Regulator through its official complaints service at inforegulator.org.za/complaints.
We may update this notice when our practices or legal requirements change. The current version will be published on this page with its effective date.
